Caruso's is the pearl of Fairfield restaurants. Their food is delicious and the service is phenomenal. We spent our wedding anniversary there, and staff surprised us by writing "Happy Anniversary" on our dessert. I highly recommend for a nice meal out.

Our first time here. Food and service were excellent. Very large portion sizes. You will not leave hungry. Recommend the risotto balls, lasagna, and bread. For cocktails the espresso martini was perfect. It was louder than I anticipated, so I would say it's not a place for a quiet intimate dinner.

Friends invited us to join them for dinner at Carusoβs. It was our first time! The food was fabulous but not cheap. Still worth the cost!

So, here it is β this is the review. I rarely write reviews, but today is exactly the day when I want to mention both what I liked and what I didnβt. Iβve visited Italy many times, and I truly love Italian cuisine and culture. Iβve also traveled to many countries across Europe. Since one of my main hobbies is visiting restaurants, I can easily go to three or four different places in one evening just to try the food. As a result, Iβve tried hundreds of pizzas and pasta dishes, so I have a pretty solid understanding of what truly good pizza and pasta should taste like, and what a real Italian restaurant should feel like overall. In addition, my work has involved large corporations and high-level customer service, so I understand what quality service looks like and can recognize it when I see it. Strangely enough, my first impression came when I walked into the restroom. It immediately became obvious that the design and overall concept of this restaurant was not created by a typical American designer. You can feel it β either a European, an Italian, or someone with Italian roots designed this place. I donβt know which part of Italy theyβre from, but for America, a restaurant like

My boyfriend had seen them mentioned on Chowdown on FB and asked if he could take me there for our anniversary. I said sure, we can try it. Me being me, I googled them to look at the menu to see what I would possibly eat as I can be picky. I settled for the filet mignon with blue cheese risotto cakes and mashed potatoes. He had the gnocchi with lamb tomato sauce. We both had an Espresso Martini and I also had a Flirtini and we shared the bread. The bread came out warm and the crust was βcrustyβ which was so good. The filet was tender but had an amazing crust to it. The blue cheese risotto cakes had that bit of salty from the blue cheese and the rice was cooked perfectly and the potatoes were whipped smooth. The boyfriend said the gnocchi was fantastic, they were pillows of potatoes with a favorable sauce. He said it was the best gnocchi heβs ever had. The sever was kind of to let us pick a dessert for our anniversary, we had the tiramisu. The was the perfect mix of coffee and lady fingers, there was no over/under of one ingredient over the other. We would definitely recommend, the server was excellent, attentive and friendly. 10/10 on Service
